Clinical supervision

Supervision should be more than case management or ticking ethical boxes. It should be a space where you feel safe enough to think openly, reflect honestly, and grow both professionally and personally.

My approach to supervision is person-centred and trauma-informed, grounded primarily in formative and restorative models of supervision. This means I see supervision as a place for professional development, reflection, emotional processing, and support, not just problem-solving.

I work collaboratively rather than hierarchically. I don’t believe supervision works best when one person acts as the “expert” with all the answers. Instead, I aim to help you strengthen your own clinical voice, judgement, and confidence, while also offering thoughtful challenge where needed.

CORNWALL and the UK

I have a particular interest in supporting therapists working with:

  • Trauma and complex PTSD

  • Neurodivergence

  • Anxiety and emotional overwhelm

  • Domestic abuse and relational trauma

  • Sex, intimacy, and psychosexual concerns

  • Complex or sensitive client presentations

I understand that working deeply with clients can sometimes bring self-doubt, uncertainty, emotional fatigue, or feelings of “not getting it right enough.” Supervision should be somewhere those experiences can be explored safely, without shame or judgement.

Alongside the formative side of supervision, I place strong emphasis on the restorative function. Therapy work can be emotionally demanding, and I believe good supervision should help you stay resourced, connected to yourself, and grounded in your practice, not burnt out by it.

You may find this space helpful if you:

  • Work with trauma or more complex presentations

  • Want to feel more confident holding difficult or sensitive material

  • Experience self-doubt, overwhelm, or uncertainty within your client work

  • Are developing your identity and confidence as a therapist

  • Want supervision that feels supportive, reflective, and gently challenging

  • Value a warm, collaborative relationship rather than a rigid or overly clinical approach

Sessions

I offer supervision online and via phone across the UK, with face-to-face sessions available for those local to Cornwall.

If you’re considering supervision with me, I offer an initial conversation so we can explore whether we feel like the right fit for working together.
